Repair work on this 1986 Cape Dory 32 that was damaged in a December Nor’easter storm.

Gel coat repairs, fiberglass work, replaced 6 ft of teak toe rail and 12+ ft of teak rub rail made to match and cut, metal rub rail trim machined to match fastener hole pattern and mounted.

The roof on this Sundance House Barge had reached the end of its life. Years of wear, water intrusion, and patchwork repairs finally caught up with it.

Old surface and coatings ground down
New composite core installed, pre-finished Nidacore
Seams glassed and reinforced.
Finished with a fresh nonskid surface in a custom pigment custom mixed gel coat

Newport Dickinson Solid Fuel Stove preliminary install. Stainless steel with durock cement board backing plate was mounted onto the pre-finished nidacore bulkhead with 1” spacers for after de-coring and adding thickened epoxy compression plugs. This nidacore bulkhead was also earlier installed on this previously gutted 1971 Laurent Giles-designed Salar 40. Will be further cleaned up and improved.

Details on the transom repair of this Grady White, featuring the Grady Drive mounting bracket for twin outboards. We fabricated backing plates from G10, spanning the entire transom inside the lazarette. We had to bend several studs back into place and recut threads with a die cutter. We successfully completed this repair without replacing the entire core, which was surprisingly in good condition for a Grady of this era. This on-site repair took place in an NYC boat yard, where we worked under tented and heated conditions, even in 20° F weather.

Before and After of the salon on this 1981 Morgan 462. We conducted a complete refit, sourcing and coordinating with the owner custom new upholstery, a rigger with all new running rigging, new electronics and other systems work. Additionally, we delivered it down to its owner from NYC to Florida.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Some of this chain had gotten to as little as 1/8th of an inch. Above and below those links was 5/8ths chain in good condition that had been sitting in the mud and just below the mooring ball.

This Grady White’s Grady Drive outboard brackets had its stud nuts nearly pulled through the entire transom. Last December and January, through freezing temperatures, we tented off and conducted repairs in situ, repairing the damaged transom and adding a G10 backing plate that extended across the entire transom inside the lazarette and blended to match at the client’s request.

We helped broker the sale of this 1981 Caterpillar 225B excavator for the owner of the marina and yard.
