This was a special day for me. My very first car was a 1970 Chevelle that I owned for 16 years. In 1990 I painted it this hot pink color after obsessing over just one Porsche 911 I saw as a kid pass my on the highway that was this exact color. I looked it up in the Porsche book at the paint shop and found the paint code when it was time to paint my custom street cruiser muscle car before most of you were even born. Well, Porsche brought this color back for 2023 and I was so excited to have this 911 T show up yesterday at my shop! ( They changed the name of the color but I recognize it as exactly the same as it was when Porsche used it back in 1977)
Unfortunately, the aluminum crease dent was on a spot where glue pulling was my only safe choice, and after 8 or 9 pulls, I began yo worry that the paint would pull off the car before the dent came out. I stopped early and gave up with no charge to the customer. He was in agreement that he also didn’t want to risk the paint being pulled off. The dent won this time. But I was so happy just to have this car in my shop that I didn’t care.
