Well, better late than never. We have been running wide open since the event ended and I haven't had a chance to make a post about VW Drag Night 2026! We had a beautiful weekend and enjoyed seeing everyone at the track. We ran late Friday night and got down to two cars left in the Instant Green race. They were neighbors and friends and decided that they would split the pot right there. We played music and hung out in the lanes for a while and enjoyed the scene with everyone. The next day we woke up to a gorgeous day. Lots of great show cars and racers and people. We made it until almost the end of racing before a quick shower came over and shut us down. We split the purse between all the remaining racers and called it a day. Aircooled Streetcar Association had already finished and Brad Robertson won with a blistering 5.79 at 121 pass in A STREET CAR! If you don't know, that is a record for the class and one that may stand forever. Look on this page for the video. Knox won the Red Rocket Ragtop and was there to take it home. It was spotted the next day cruising down the back roads of S.C. headed back to Georgia. Timmy found the one of a kind Hot VWs license plate on the property during the Hot VWs Scavenger Hunt and pocketed $200 cash and a giveaway ticket. All in all, we had a great time and hated that we couldn't finish the race. We wanted to crown all of the winners. We will be back in November for Germanaire Drag Day on November 20-21 and back next April for VW Drag Night 2027.
