The McAllisters currently hold land speed records set on the Bonneville Salt Flats and are always ready to help other racers any way they can. llister, has honed and refined his skills since the age of 16. He got his start as the shop boy at BC Autoworks where he stayed as their engine builder for 4 1/2 years. After high school he went on to complete the 2 year automotive program and ASE Master Tech certifications at Weber State. Once he felt as though he had learned all he could at BC he went on to refine his air cooled skills at Air Cooled Engineering under Art Thraen. Art saw so much potential in Justin that they began talk of Justin buying the place not too long after he was hired. Justin worked under Art for 5 years before the deal was made, and Blackline Racing was born March 1, 2013! We were lucky enough to hold on to carburetor specialist Dave Hogarth, who rebuilt Air Cooled Engineering’s carburetors for the last 10 years, while Art shifted his focus to his HVAC business. Dave retired from carburetor restorations in the Fall of 2019 but will always be a part of the Blackline family. Shayla and Justin are grateful to have learned all they could from him and are proud to continue providing the same quality carburetor restorations you’ve all grown to depend upon.
