Every now and then, we may have a vehicle priced around $2,500–$3,500, but that is not our normal inventory—and there’s a reason.

The cheaper a used vehicle is, the harder it becomes to promise that it will be reliable and dependable. At that price point, buyers should realistically expect the vehicle to need repairs or maintenance.

Even the vehicles we sell for $6,500–$7,500 often require extensive work before we offer them for sale. Tires, brakes, struts, control arms, oil changes, and other neglected maintenance can add up quickly.

A vehicle that costs us $2,000 at auction may easily need another $2,000 in parts and service—before detailing, transportation, taxes, or any other dealership expenses.

That’s why we usually avoid extremely low-priced vehicles. Ironically, they often need the most work. Our goal isn’t simply to offer the cheapest car—we want to offer something that has been properly serviced and gives the customer a better chance of dependable transportation.

Cheap to buy doesn’t always mean cheap to own.
