This Is How You Grow The Sport🫡🏁⚾️
Dirt racing is one of America’s favorite pastimes for a lot of us. The sounds, the smells, the atmosphere, it’s something you either grew up around, or once it grabs ahold of you, it doesn’t let go.
Then you’ve got baseball, which is arguably the American pastime, and now the West Virginia Black Bears and Kolbe Kimbrew are bringing both worlds together in a pretty unique way. Props to Donnie Barney on all the hard work he puts in behind the scenes as well making deals like this happen✊🫡
Kolbe Kimbrew Racing’s Longhorn Chassis dirt late model will be on display at the West Virginia Black Bears stadium June 9-11, giving baseball fans an up close look at one of the region’s premier dirt late models & up and coming drivers. The car will also return for another special appearance in early July.
To me, this is exactly how you market and advertise✊
You think outside the box. You don’t just keep talking to the same group of people who already know what dirt racing is. You find a way to tap into a whole different fan base, introduce them to the excitement, intensity, and the atmosphere of grassroots dirt racing, and hopefully bring some new faces through the gates.
At the same time, it gives racing fans a reason to check out and support one of West Virginia’s own baseball organizations.
That’s a pretty damn cool crossover for West Virginia sports culture, and hopefully it opens some eyes to what we already know, dirt racing is one of the best & most electric atmospheres you’ll find anywhere!✊🏁
