Daily message of hope...
For Sunday, June 7, 2026:

Luke 4:40 NLT: “Many were possessed by demons; and the demons came out at Jesus’ command, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But because they knew he was the Messiah, he rebuked them and refused to let them speak.”

Jesus had healed Simon’s mother-in-law. Word got out, and soon people from miles around were bringing their sick and injured to Jesus. Some of the people were plagued by demons, oftentimes the root cause of their illness. Jesus would send the demons away as part of his cure.

The demons identified Jesus. “You are the Son of God!” But Jesus knew that if he claimed to be the Son of God, he’d be accused of blasphemy, so he didn’t let the demons speak.

Nowadays, we don’t have to be so cautious with our words. Believers should tell the world that Jesus is truly the Son of the Most High. We should shout out the Good News!

Daily message of hope...
For Saturday, June 6, 2026:

Colossians 1:23 NLT: “You must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.”

You probably already know that the word “Gospel” is translated as “Good News.” And Bible is also referred to as Truth. Once you have heard the story of Jesus, the Gospel, hang onto it firmly. Now that you know the truth, never waver in your commitment to Jesus.

This is the advice of Paul, who at first didn’t get it either. I jokingly say that Jesus slapped him upside the head on the road to Damascus, but that’s kind of what happened. Paul was struck blind for three days, led into town where a believer cleared his eyes, restoring his sight. Paul should have been quite hungry by then, but the first thing he did was to be baptized. Nothing was more important than obeying this newly discovered truth!

Paul was “all in!” How about you?

Daily message of hope...
For Friday, June 5, 2026:

John 15:22 NLT, Jesus speaking: “The world would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse for their sin.”

When Jesus came to earth, it set a dividing line for judgment. Let me elaborate. Jesus could explain and clarify Torah, God’s commandments and writings of the prophets. People could witness healings with their own two eyes. Jesus had power over storms and the weather. He could even raise the dead! Those who witnessed these things should have had no doubt that Jesus was heaven-sent. No earthly person could have accomplished what Jesus did!

Jesus’ life on earth was well documented in the four Gospels, so even those of us living 2K years later can read the truth. Today’s scripture is from John, the disciple closest to Jesus. He’s the one Jesus picked to watch over his mom, certainly a trustworthy individual. Simon Peter told the story to John Mark who wrote it all down. Peter was hand-picked by Jesus to lead the church after his ascension. Matthew was a Jew working for the Romans as a tax collector. He came back home, switching sides after meeting Jesus. This subjected him to much public humiliation.

I really like Luke, a physician, a healer, above-average in intelligence. He interviewed a great many to write his Jesus story with the tenacity of an investigative reporter. His letters were addressed to Theophilus, probably a real person. But Theophilus means lover of God, so we all qualify as the intended audience for this Gospel.

Now that we’ve heard the truth about Jesus, how could we believe otherwise? We should be convinced by the eyewitness testimony!

Daily message of hope...
For Thursday, June 4, 2026:

Colossians 1:22 NLT: “Now God has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.”

If believers understand the justice system of heaven, we’ll better appreciate the grace shown to us as followers of Jesus. God is intolerant of sin, and sinners are assessed a penalty. Jesus gave his earthly life to pay for mankind’s sins. That’s called substitutionary atonement. Someone else paid the penalty for what we did wrong.

Now that the penalty has been satisfied, we are reconciled with God. That’s called grace, undeserved favor. We have been awarded a ticket to eternity in God’s heavenly Kingdom, no charge!

God must really love us. He took extraordinary steps to include mankind in his Holy family!

Daily message of hope...
For Tuesday, June 2, 2026:

John 15:21 NLT, Jesus speaking: “The world will persecute you because of me, for they have rejected the one who sent me.”

In my mind, Jesus should have been the unifying piece of the puzzle. When people heard him speak of heaven, watched him heal the sick and broken and raise souls from the dead, they all should have been on board. Jesus could be none other than the heaven-sent Son of the Most High! How anyone could reject him befuddles me!

Nonetheless, Satan wields significant influence on earth, and he was cheering for the status quo, the Old Covenant, whereby citizens weren’t getting into heaven very often. But people were familiar with the rules. They knew the system and didn’t have to change anything.

Jesus, on the other hand, ushered in a New Covenant whereby mankind’s sins could be forgiven and many more people would find their names in the book of life! But this new system required a change in beliefs, a theological reorientation. Jesus is right up front, telling believers that the new way wouldn’t be popular with everyone. In fact, if we do what Jesus said to do, we should expect a certain amount of trouble. Satan will do his best to sideline our efforts!

Our reward for following Jesus is eternity in the Father’s Kingdom. Once we realize the enormity of that reward, it becomes impossible to consider non-compliance. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through him, and everyone seeking eternal residence in the Father’s House knows his name!

Daily message of hope...
June 1, 2026, Monday Message:

Matthew 10:8a NLT, Jesus speaking: “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons.”

There is only one Jesus, one Son of God. He is fully God, but while walking on earth, he’s also fully human. His goal is to share the Good News (Gospel) with all Israel. To multiply his efforts, he sends out the 12, 2 X 2, equipping them with his supernatural powers so the populous will understand the mighty power of God.

Jesus would not have told his Apostles to do these things unless it was possible for them to succeed. Jesus was known for healing, but now Jesus’ FOLLOWERS would be known for healing! Later, Jesus would include other disciples in the groups he sent out to evangelize. Everyone he sent would have power over Satan and his demons if they used the name of Jesus!

Faith can affect the success rate of miracles. We should pray as if the miracle had already happened. Jesus personally gave us this power – now claim it! A couple more things. Loud prayers aren’t necessarily better. Just explain what you need to happen, and use Jesus’ name, calmly. Our God is orderly. And leave out the “justs” and “onlys!” They usually add nothing to the praying. “Oh Father, we just come before you today asking only for mercy.” Bad example.

Jesus authorized proselytization. Believers have been called to make disciples of all nations, so let’s get out there, get busy and work our assignments. Use Jesus’ name. Smile!
