NASA NE Competition School

NJMP Thunderbolt, June 12–14

Ready to go from HPDE to real wheel‑to‑wheel racing? NASA Northeast’s Competition School at New Jersey Motorsports Park Thunderbolt runs Friday through Sunday and is built for experienced HPDE drivers, Time Trial racers, and instructors who are ready for the next step.

Your entry covers the school on Friday plus race group sessions on Saturday and Sunday, so if you pass, you can jump straight into actual races that same weekend. You’ll get classroom coaching, on‑track drills, practice race starts, and side‑by‑side sessions focused on clean, confident racecraft.

Bring a properly set‑up track car and your full personal safety gear, and we’ll handle the rest at the track. You’ll be sharing the paddock with a full NASA weekend of HPDE, TT, and racing, so it’s the perfect environment to learn the ropes and join the show.

It’s time to stop talking and start racing!

Watkins Glen is absolutely buzzing today!

Full house, blue skies, and NASA Northeast kicking off the 2026 season in style at WGI. From HPDE1 to racers and TT, every group is on track and the paddock is jammed with cars and smiles!

Drivers’ meeting is wrapped, engines are warming up, and we’re running HPDE, Race, and Time Trial all weekend long, April 24–26 at Watkins Glen International. If you’re here, drop your run group in the comments and tag who you’re paddocked with

With the race season coming up let’s all respect the double yellows.

For Oleksandr Kosohov, the first qualifying session of the Qualifiers on the Nordschleife turned into a disaster. The Cup 3 driver for Mühlner Motorsport committed a serious speeding offence in a double yellow flag zone. Where he was allowed to drive at 60 km/h, Kosohov passed the scene at 201 km/h.

The stewards delivered a severe verdict. His team receives a 95 second stop and go penalty for the race. Kosohov is excluded from the event and loses his Nordschleife licence with immediate effect. He will not take part any further.

The stewards stated: “Car #999 failed to respect the double yellow flag signal by travelling at 201 km/h. The decision is a 95 second stop and go time penalty in the next race after the first lap, immediate disqualification of the driver from the event, and a general withdrawal of the DPN licence.”

April 24–26, 2026 – Kick off the 2026 NASA Northeast season at The Glen!

Friday is for the die‑hards: race test & tune, HPDE solo, and HPDE4/advanced with Time Trial to get dialed before the main show.

Saturday & Sunday we go full send — racing, HPDE, and TT packages all weekend so racers can test Friday and battle through Sunday while HPDE drivers run all three days.
New to the program? Start in HPDE1 with an instructor.
Solo drivers run HPDE2–3, and the HPDE4 crew gets full open passing.

Two full days of HPDE, racing and TT at one of the most iconic driver’s tracks in the Northeast!

FRI/SAT July 17–18

“BIG BANG at the ROCK” is back at Lime Rock Park 🧨
No db restriction, just two days of flat‑out fun at historic Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT

This weekend is for experienced drivers only: HPDE2 (cleared to solo), HPDE3, HPDE4, Racers and Time Trial. There is no HPDE1 or Toyota Novice at this event, and previous track experience is required

Group sizes are limited by track size, so when registration opens, lock in your spot early or hop on the waitlist

Free overnight camping starts Thursday at 5 pm, with upper and lower paddocks open and bathrooms/showers available. Paddocks must be cleared by Saturday 7 pm
Friday night = awards + party
