The kids and I went on a nice walk in the woods yesterday to clear our minds from the craziness. We came across a downed tree from the storms that the kids loved to play on. Some turtles having a good time. Got some goldenrod to dry for tea. Found our first puffball mushroom, it is going to go great in our chicken and rice tonight for dinner.

Devastation hit our farm yesterday. What we think was a coyote attack killed 4 of our pet goats and our male rabbit. Keep a close eye on your fur baby’s, hug them, and give them so many treats! Lucky our buck Littlefoot protected the baby in our heard so they have eachother left. We had to say goodbye to our beloved momma goat Tigey, her son Tipsy, and her daughters Maribel and PJ, Mad Hatter the Rabbit.

Just came home from fishing to my 6 guineas, 4 chickens and 3 ducks missing from my yard. So now I’m down to 7 ducks and 1 hen. Luckily nothing got the the baby emus. But it looks like they’ll have to stay in their barn until we can find the culprit. This happens my flock multiple times a year and I’m getting the the point where it’s just sad and useless. 😭
