Good Saturday Morning! The Nor’easter has arrived!
Forecast remains on track. Here’s a look at the radar and current wind gusts (7AM). Gusting to near 50 MPH along parts of the shoreline and near 30 MPH for parts of interior CT.
My wording has and will not change. This is a mostly wind and Coastal flooding event. I’m not all that impressed with the rain. Expect periodic downpours but at times it won’t be raining at all. In all, 1 to 3 inches of rain for CT. More to our East and South.
Winds will remain gusty and peak through tonight before slowly weakening throughout Sunday but remain breezy. Scattered power outages are expected.
Gusts to 60 MPH along the shoreline and 50 MPH are expected (at times) through tonight.
Outdoor plans and events today will be tough and likely need an indoor plan not only because of the scattered rain but the frequent wind gusts. But no reason you can’t leave the house today if you have to. This isn’t snow and we’re not expecting flash flooding. Just watch out for some fallen branches or even some trees.
I appreciate you hitting share and like. I’ll update throughout the day!
Maybe I’ll do a weather report from the Coast this afternoon?!?!?
