With the heat, a quick lesson on Air Conditioning.
1. Make sure the recirculation mode is on. It is the little button with a sideways arrow that is in a circle, or indicated by MAX AIR.
2. Spray water through the front of the radiator area in the beginning of the season to clean bugs and debris from the coils.
3. Freon never goes bad. If there is a fault in the system, it leaks out. By law we cannot recharge or add freon without fixing the leak, so please don't ask.
4. Blow your air from the dash vents angled upward to cool the hot air, since hot air rises. Using the floor vents does no good for your comfort.
5. Many problems today are electrical with A/C. Temperature sensors and door motors account for half of problems people have with their units. The most common is cold on one side and hot on the other.
No matter your problem, A/C work is not cheap. You must understand that the complexity of today's cars make it time intensive to diagnose and repair your system.
