This Photo is fom 1982, when I married China Falcon, my wife. The funny thng about this particular photo is that it is no longer in my possession. As many of you are aware I was a fugitive for 26 years, during which time I was accompanied by my wife and children. Sadly, my parents passed away while I was away, and our family photos were lost. We have since been able to recover some of the photos from family and friends, but this specific one was not recovered. China and I first saw this photo again when it appeared on Netflix in 'Co***ne Cowboys: Kings of Miami.' So now I have the Netflix version of this photo. Last week we celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary last week.

In 1985a challenge race was held from Miami to New York, featuring an extreme distance of 1257 miles. Our race boat took the top spot, securing first place and setting a new Guinness World Record. The experience was especially grueling for me, as I was tasked with throttling during the night. Although the waters were not excessively rough that evening, the conditions deteriorated somewhat upon reaching North Carolina, requiring me to adjust the throttle based on feel. Throughout the race, I remained highly alert to potential hazards, including the risk of colliding with unlit fishing boats, which demanded my utmost attention given our high speed. I recently reconnected with Steve Curtis and he reminded me of the name of the 3rd Throttleman in our group, his name was Angelo Mally.

Among all the races in the circuit, this victory celebration stood out, with press members capturing the moment and conducting interviews, while celebrated actress Boe Derick, then at the height of her fame, made a special appearance. This was a special victory for us, not only did we win the open class but we surpassed the super boat and won first over all. We were on our way to win the national title. .

The day before the big 1989 Japan Racing Circuit event, I put our boat through its paces in a practice session. Bangle Bay Club brought me on the team as their Throttle Man for this nationally televised race was a huge deal for the Japan Circuit.
