Mobile PDR-repair I did for a friend last-week, one for-the-books that I'll never forget! 🥵 Easily one of the toughest bodyline-hits I've ever managed to recover with PDR. This is a 2018 Cadillac XT5, both right-doors got sideswiped in a parking-lot hit-and-run a few weeks ago. This is gettin very common these days! 🤬💨 It looked so bad he was ready to just sell it at this point, but he really wanted me to try the PDR-option before sending it to the body-shop. I took one look at the before-pic he sent me (In that first-pic) and I said, "Nope, those doors are destroyed, both need new-skins." Well he still wanted me to try my best & make it look half-presentable so he could trade it in. I reluctantly said OKAY, but let me take my time with it & give it everything I got...... So with a lot of time, effort & proper-technique, 3-days later we had a pretty great-result on both-doors, almost getting both down to a near-undetectable-level of aesthetics. That one bodyline-dent on the rear-door gave me more fight than anything between the 2, I used both glue-pull, interior-tooling and heat to smooth that one out..... While being very careful to work-around the splitting clear-coat right on that sharp-crown above the dent. The turnout was so good, he said he just might keep the car now. 😄👌 Even after doing this 11-years, these things surprise even me sometimes. You just never know til you try. 🤞😎
