As promised, here’s some highlights from the 2026 Bladesports International Keystone Cut Competition that we hosted at our Meadville facility! 🔪💥

Watching these four skilled cutters compete right outside our Blade Division was incredible! For those new to Bladesports, it’s a high-intensity obstacle course designed to test speed, control, and precision through extreme slicing, chopping, and precision cutting challenges.

Huge shoutout to these fierce and talented competitors and everyone who made this event happen! And yeah... seeing Bennieboo blitz speed through the course to take 1st place while rocking the Peters logo? We couldn't be prouder. 😉

🎟️☀️ Fresh air, fun games and the sound of laughter from our friends and family made this past weekend very special. We loved seeing our PHT family come together during our annual employee summer picnic.

The MTI Educational Foundation has awarded more than $455,000 in educational scholarships to attract and support young talent in the heat treating industry. Continuing this commitment, the Foundation is thrilled to announce the opening of its 2026 scholarship application process, offering a total of $123,000 in scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $7,500 for both technical school and college students.

How a Tour today becomes a Career tomorrow 🔧

We were proud to host this year’s Manufacturing Academy, welcoming juniors and seniors from five area high schools.

A huge thank‑you to the Northwestern PA Chapter NTMA and the Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance for organizing such a great program.

Investing in our youth is investing in the future of manufacturing. We’re excited about the great things happening here—growth, innovation, and real career opportunities for the next generation.

🚛 Big Move, Big Impact!

This week, our team successfully relocated a vacuum furnace from one facility to another — a major step forward in strengthening our internal operations.

By bringing this equipment in-house here in Meadville, we’re:
🔹 Reducing logistics and lead times
🔹 Expanding our ability to process larger vacuum-treated parts locally in Crawford County, PA
🔹 Able to provide bright aging or stress relieving (with a diffusion pump)
🔹 Living lean manufacturing by eliminating waste

Beyond the operational wins, it’s always impressive to watch a piece of equipment this massive make its way through our plants and down the highway. Moves like this showcase the teamwork, planning, and innovation that keep our operations moving forward.

Our team should pat themselves on the back for the effort behind this one! 💪

✨ Lean Continuous Improvement in Action! ✨

We had the pleasure of welcoming the Lean group for a tour of our facility. Representatives from several regional companies — including a handful of our customers — joined us to see firsthand how our Lean continuous improvement journey is shaping our processes, culture, and results.

There’s something energizing about opening our doors and showing the great work our teams accomplish every day. Even better? Hearing such positive feedback from the group. They had plenty to like and very little to critique — a true testament to the dedication, collaboration, and problem‑solving mindset our people bring to the table.

Continuous improvement isn’t a finish line; it’s an ongoing commitment. And moments like this remind us just how far we’ve come — and how far we can go.
