Sorry for the late update, been crazy week with racing, work, and personal lives.
Last race 8/24/26 Sandusky County Fair Race.
Car was running good and fast. During hot laps Josh got too high into turns 3 and 4. Josh was then pulled into the cushion and spun. Continued rolling backwards at a decent speed missing the Styrofoam wall and hitting the concrete wall.
Crash damaged the rear tank, Rear bumper, rear break system, in car fire suppression system and took rear out of alignment. Stering was briefly disabled due to a bolt getting stuck.
A quick look over the car and it was determined that we could finish the night with a new bumper. The team worked hard with help from many other teams to get the bumper switched out.
Due to working on the car we missed qualifying but made our heat.
Did good in the heat and went to the B-Main.
In the B-Main Josh was able to pass a few other cars and finish 10th for the night.
Later in the night Josh began to feel the injuries from the crash. Soreness in his back and shoulders and a nice bruise to his right calf from where the fire suppression hit him.
No Dr. Visits. Just ice and rest.
We will be working on the car Saturday to get it ready for the next race Sept 12th. Hope to see you all there.
