It seems like a lot of people want their car detailed for the price of a drive thru car wash. You ask anyone and they’ll tell you they know how to clean their car. Or the one I hear the most, “I have a guy that details my car for $60 or whatever low amount.
Let me ask you this:
How long does that detail take?
A full detail to me is a minimum of 3 hours. If you or your guy only spends an hour then it is not a detail.
Are you using a legitimate business?
Does your guy have a license to run a business or is he just side hustling
What happens when your guy damages your car?
It is painfully easy to damage interiors with wrong product. The exterior is even more susceptible to being damaged. If your guy doesn’t have insurance then you are gonna be stuck with paying to fix it or living with the damage.
Most low cost “Detailers” have zero training and that is important. Knowing which chemicals do what, how to machine polish, sand, and apply ceramic coatings, etc. requires training.
