Just because the season is over doesn't mean were done. New bike for next season is getting tested this weekend at roebling road raceway. As always we stand behind our sponsors and support from Wiley x and couldn't be with a better tire than Michelin. Look forward to continuing to improve and next season.

Slr motorsports is proud to say we set out with two championships as our goal this year. And we did it. Won both championships and are proud of it. This really would not have been possible without our sponsors. Thank you so much first and foremost to Wiley x, Michelin tires, pro-line race prep, Wnc v***rs and vortex.

Weekend recap. Started off Saturday feeling really good in practice. Im suffering a hand injury from a previous unrelated instance but it was feeling good and not bothering much. The new asphalt at VIR is so nice. The first race was middleweight supersport. I only had to pretty much finish the race to clench the overall middleweight supersport championship. There were some fast guys out playing this weekend. Florida regions max came up and mid Atlantic brought Dustin and Bailey out for the fun. Race one I went into turn on in third place behind Bailey and max. I hung out there for a little while. Around lap three I saw Bailey hanging out outside turn 5 picking his bike up (glad he was up and getting back on) which put me in second and Dustin in third. Right about that time my hand started having pain and was getting rough to focus and keep pace. Dustin came up and showed me a wheel a few times and once he made it around he was riding smooth I just settled into what I thought was third. Turns out max gridded wrong and didn't pull in for the meatball so was penalized a lap. Putting Dustin with a win and me with second. And with that we got the southeast middleweight supersport championship.

Now I had signed up for unlimited gp (for those who don't know this is a 1000 cc grid basically) I was expecting to have a gap between my supersport and this but since combining some races I was back to back. I registered late putting me at the back of the grid almost. By turn one I was going Into it in second, until someone made a risky move to my inside and as I started to turn in he was there. Left my front tire hitting his back tire which stood me up and sent me into the field outside turn one. I kept it up but by the time I was back on track in one the rest of the field was leaving turn four. I knew I had very slim chance catching people since it was mostly 1000cc compared to me. I was determined to give it all I could. I pushed my bike pretty hard. Chipped away at the field and made it back to 6th place out of 12. I was right on fifth but he beat me at the line. My little 600 just couldn't beat his thousand down the front stretch. When I said I beat the bike pretty hard this race, I literally was giving it so much that up the hill on the backside I clipped the curbing while leaned on the gas and smashed up the belly pan really bad and ripped the bolts out. But it was a blast charging back.

Saturday morning was the last race. Middleweight superbike. Now I had already won the championship for the year with points but it was the funnest race. We took off and going into one it was a dog fight. Bailey was out front then max and Dustin beat me to the corner. Us four were on top of each other for the first lap. At lap two Bailey and max just had more motor than me and Dustin and we couldn't keep em close in the straights and they pulled away. So it was me and Dustin playing around. I followed him for a few laps. I had some chances to stuff him inside but since Dustin is a friend outside of racing too it wasn't worth a crash or a close call. Around lap four I came inside on turn seven and got him. But a few turns later I made a mistake with a false neutral. Bike bucked pretty hard and put Dustin right on my butt again. When we went around he came up the in side on turn one. I thought he had me back but I hammered in and took it back around the outside. After that I found a extra wind in me and pulled a decent gap securing third place and the middleweight superbike championship. Bailey and Dustin it's always fun riding with y'all. It was a blast this weekend. I can't thank everyone who has been behind me all year enough. Thank you Wiley x. Pro-line race prep. Michelin tires. Wnc v***r. This season literally would not be possible without you guys. These are our championships. I couldn't have done this alone. Bailey Cox Dustin Alan Hughes Vinnie DeVita Derek Stickboy Bennett

Recap for this weekend. Started Saturdays practice day off a little rough as you can see on the page of the rear rotor that decided to just destroy itself. Luckily as always the motorcycle racing community is the best and we were able to borrow another rotor. Learned the track well on Saturday and was comfortable for the races we had today. Started race one which was supersport on the pole up front. Went into turn one with the lead. On lap two saw a front wheel going into on my outside and held it off for another lap where on lap three he got me on the outside. This was a fast Florida region bike that I just couldn't catch on the straights. We battled back and forth and on lap four he mad a mistake and I got him back. Until lap five where he snuck by again. One lap six I was setting him up to come outside on the backside of the track and I pushed to hard and lost my line. Still happy with second. Next race I got the hole shot and hung out up front but not for long. Same guy from the first race was back with me. I stayed on his butt for two laps and was going to just wait for a mistake. Then my right leg decided to start twitching anytime I put pressure on it. I backed way off pace and was just concentrating on finishing second. Pretty much just ride the rest of the race a few seconds off pace and was able to keep a big enough gap from third that I was safe. So home comes another second. This will help extend out points lead in both championships heading into the last round next month at vir. This weekend would not be possible without our phenomenal sponsors. Wiley x, pro-line race prep, Michelin tires, vortex, Wnc v***r. I want to thank my wife Kelsey and Dillon and Sammie for everything they help with to keep me rolling smooth on the bike. Thank you everyone for your support.
