This is the point were these two laps went off .2 seconds - the top photo being faster. While the data in Race Studio 3 Analysis always tells the tale, the Smartycam 3 Sport video makes it extra easy to see things. Notice in the top picture that the kart is rotated into the corner a little more on the way to the apex. This little bit of extra rotation lets you pick up the throttle quicker and get out faster - resulting in .2 seconds through the corner. Car or kart, this is the same!

In RS3, you can see the extra speed, smoother Lat G trace, extra GPS Gyro, and nearly the same line in the GPS Radius channel. The extra rotation allows a smoother entry line, radius, and ability to get out of the corner.

The last two photos show the fast lap followed by the slower with GPS Gyro being overlayed on the track map. Notice the blue on the entry to the corner in the faster lap, showing where the rotation happened.

Between video, graphs, and rain lines on maps, find a data visualization that allows you to see what makes you fast. Then keep digging and try to repeat it!
