Build it in phases.

This Ford Transit 148 belongs to a customer who needed a badass transport van now, for family and business jobs, but eventually wants a camper. He wasn’t sure how much space a full build would take, so we started with an open foundation to grow into.

Right now it’s a home base for his kids’ active days: fly fishing, snowboarding, hauling gear. We add the next phase as he learns what he needs.

On the road today, dialed in over time.

Airing down for soft sand, here’s what I run.

Some Jersey beaches have really soft sand, so letting air out of your tires is key for traction. The right pressure depends on tire size and how heavy your rig is. I run 15 to 19 psi in my van.

Some call it overkill, but it comes from experience. You’ll know fast if you’re not getting traction, so air down.

The beaches we drive have inflators to air back up. Out in the middle of nowhere, an ARB compressor is clutch.
