First week of scheduled consulting has turned to a success! Multiple cars finished in single hour blocks. (Some split for flex fuel). Hopefully this continues this way and gives a far better user experience! Back to tickets for now. We are nearing getting completely caught up on tickets! 50-70 left and we’re officially caught up.

Than you to everyone for your patience!

And if your waiting on revisions please consider scheduling! We will be updating the schedule this weekend and randomizing the days to make it easier for people’s work schedules as well as adding remote diagnostic scheduling to give even better support!

06/28/2023

Over 500 tickets processed in under a week.

We are now migrating to a new method. We will be placing 2+ days a week to where you can schedule live revisions. All work comes with 3x 1hr block. We recommend using a single hour for your first session in the event of an issue. If you are confident there are no issues, you can schedule all three in a row. After 3, there will be an hourly fee for allocated time if you don’t want to wait for typical email style responses.

We will be adding scheduled diagnostic as well. And weekend sessions / evening have been added for a small fee for those that can’t work during our business hours. We will constantly rotate the days to help with those with different work schedules.

Moving forward there will be a 30 minute cap on diagnostic. After that there will be a required scheduled diagnostic fee, as we have had far too many lately, which then hurts other people’s response times. We recently had someone with 250+ ticket response, 30+ calls. And still having issues. This shouldn’t be pushing us back and affecting others. Sorry if these changes bother you. But this also gives you a chance to sit down and dial your car in, in a single session! After 3 blocks there will be an additional fee. This mostly comes from bmw vehicles that have had tremendous diagnostic issues.

We hope this gives far better support moving forward and a more personal experience. Today was our first unofficial day doing this. And we got someone dialed in. 8 revisions in 90 minutes. Car is dialed in nice and tight. And I think this is the best way to move forward for efficiency and organization. We will continue doing standard revisions via email / normal channels as well.

Edit: half a million views and the tuner hasn’t chimed in. Shall we do an informative live stream with what’s wrong. How to read logs and since they never chimed in (I messaged them) actually say who it is? Vote on our story if we get enough requests I’ll setup a stream. I’ve been giving them a chance to speak up. Or reply.

Edit 2: Due to popular request we will be doing an informative live steam at 3pm PST on Facebook. (And you will all likely get what you are asking)

Edit 3: Mikey Botti is the tuner. I left a comment below.

Alright its time for a fun little post. Lets show you how to blow a B58 up. Ive attached a photo of a number of maps from a famous tuner. Very well known. I never ever do this its against our policy but this is completely irational. Lets look at the piston, this was on ethanol. Yet everything is melted. I have more photos of basically the entier engine being destroyed. This is another example file. First of all just because you can run Stoich at full load doenst mean you should, let laone leaving the STOCK load values. Load is the % of air flow into the engine these should be expanded to match what you are running. Not left stock.... Running The same lambda (air to fuel at all times). This car also has the DI max value to less than HALF of hte factory value... Ill attach that below. So it was converted to port injection, and on DI you can run leaner than PI due to a controlled combustion.

Next up lets consider the boost limiter, set to 4800. The map sensor doesnt even go this high. Why would anyone ever set it this high?

Then we get into the fun stuff. This car in the map is 91 octane and on pump gas. No one runs a flat load request of 2.5 atmospheres (245 is about 2.5 atmospheres). on 91 octane! This is a simple small Pure 800 turbo. On flex fuel with pump upgrades and port injectoin sure 230-260 load might be rational but on 91? Whats going on here. Then once we hit E50 sure lets request higher than a 6466 typically can even acheive... Pure turbos cant even hit this, good thing we had a boost limiter right?

The ecu takes your accelerator pedal and checks the torque request then converts this to air load and then verifies its below the boost limiter. So lets go ahead and shift all the tables so 950NM is realistically about 950LB of torque at the wheels as the torque table was skewed significantly (by about 50-70%. Now at idle if we touch the gas lets go ahead nad request 950 WTQ! I bet this thing has AMAZING driveability.

Just because someone has a big name and tunes in massive bulk.... Doesn't mean they are good. This simply creates noise and the people that have a problem dont get seen vs the people who are praising because their car was fast (for a short period of time). The photo on the top left is an enigne with a simliar tune.

The tuner didnt leave any notes of what this car was, no name, no nothing... They didnt even bother locking any of their files because they simply didnt care enough to protect their work as they assumed that anyone could read the file anyway. Its sad because this tuner initially asked me to give them guidance, and I helped with a lot of their core work and they have drifted so far away its astonishing.

St Louis was a trip! Went for a few days. Ended up there for two weeks at shop. Lots of adventures. Lots of struggles. Lots of growth. Pretty proud of our software progression. We plan to come back soon. Maybe next time I’ll fly with a real watch. Maybe blue? To contrast my black outfit? 🤣

I think it’s time we start working more on these new cars. We’ve been loving the new platform and broke the records in both the MT and AT transmissions. New mapping coming soon and more power to come! Enjoy the edit of whip. 🥰🥰
