I'm asked daily whether I install pre-bent or “kit” cages.

The answer is no; I don’t install kit cages.

Nothing against any manufacturer. Some companies make good products, and there’s a place for them.

But there are styles, and then there are styles.

In my opinion, there are simply too many variations from car to car for a “one-size-fits-all” cage to fit every car as tight as I want my cages to fit.

When I build a cage, I want the tubing tight to the body, tucked where it belongs, and built specifically around that car and driver.

Nothing against kit cages. That's just not how I run🤷

A pair of VS Racing G57-based 94mm billet monsters for Jason Sawyer’s Fox Body, “Doomsday.”

Again… JM’s team ain’t messing around!

Huge thanks to Viren, Steve, and the entire VS Racing crew for coming aboard and supplying us with these two absolute monsters. Now it’s time to see if we can make the 3,200+ ponies we’ve been looking for out of Doomsday.

The first set of VS Racing 88s just landed for Tatiana, and DAMN!

These things are absolutely BEAUTIFUL… and straight-up murderous-looking beasts.

Huge thanks to Viren, Steve, and the entire VS Racing crew for coming aboard and supporting what we’re building with John Michael Stepp, Jason Sawyer, and J2MRC for the “No Prep Syndicate.”

These monsters are headed for JMs 280 "Tatiana".

And since we’re in Texas, of course we had to throw a can of Dr Pepper in there for size reference. 😂🥤

Yeah… those are 88s.

And if these are any indication of what’s coming…

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THOSE 94mm G57 MONSTERS FOR DOOMSDAY!

Things are about to get interesting.

🔥 DOOMSDAY UPDATE 🔥

Making some good progress on Doomsday! The 25.1 chassis is coming together and this thing is starting to look MEAN.

Big shoutout to VS Racing for coming aboard and supporting this project. We truly appreciate the support, and we can’t wait to see Doomsday sitting between a pair of 94mm G57-based Monster turbos!

And as always, a huge thank you to Monkey Fab Monkey Fabrication Garage - MFG for taking care of me. Whether it’s welding supplies, fabrication parts, fittings, or just about anything else we can use around the shop, they always get it handled and shipped out FAST. 🤘

Still plenty of work ahead, but Doomsday is getting closer!

And remember, Doomsday is just one of the projects currently going on at J2MRC. We should have updates on some of the other cars coming soon, so be on the lookout! 👀

⚡ **WIRING TIP OF THE DAY** ⚡

Please… **stacked ring terminals to ground your small electronics do NOT belong in a race car.** 😂

Get you a **bus bar with a connector**. One main ground in, individual grounds out. Clean, simple, and easy to service.

Here’s one that **Monkey Fab Garage keeps in stock**. If you're using it only for grounds, **make sure you get the 1-circuit version**, since other variants let you distribute both power and ground.

As I take a little break from welding and start opening up some packages, I figured I’d jump on here and spill the beans on this one. 👀😂

🚨 SPOILER ALERT! 🚨
Be on the lookout for Johnmichael Stepp as he makes the official post, but I’m too excited not to share a little early. 😂

We’re happy to officially welcome VS Racing on board as the official turbo partner for Tatiana and Doomsday!

Big thanks to Viren, Steve, and the whole VS Racing team for working with Johnmichael Stepp and J2MRC on these two projects.

Doomsday will be getting a pair of 94mm Ball Bearing G57-based Monster turbos with a 3,200+ HP goal, while Tatiana will be running a pair of Ball Bearing 88/94s with a goal around 2,500 HP.

I’m extremely grateful to God, my clients and their patience with me, and all the businesses, manufacturers, and suppliers that continue to support J2MRC in this venture. We’re still growing, learning, and pushing forward every day, and none of it would be possible without the people who believe in what we’re building here.

I need to get better at letting people know about all the parts and services we offer at J2MRC. 😂 I get so sidetracked working on the cars that I forget to mention we're also an authorized Lowdoller Motorsports dealer.

Here are some of the Lowdoller parts we usually keep on the shelf: pressure transducers, MAP sensors, liquid temp sensors, shock travel sensors and mounts, sensor blocks, boots, pre-terminated sensor harnesses, Hall effect speed sensors, weld bungs, and plenty of those little parts that always seem to hold up a project.
