I thought I would share a few pictures of Paul's Cycle (Repair) Supply during various stages of expansion.
I think most of you know who I am but for those that don't; my name is Tammee and I am Paul's niece. For anyone that used to shop at Wheels For Fun I am Starr's daughter.
Paul's Cycle Repair opened 01/01/1989. Paul's opened as a repair shop for motorcycles, dirt bikes and ATVs. Around 1995 Paul's Cycle Repair expanded into the building it is today.
Paul would later focus on the retail side and less on repairs (eventually no repairs) so it became Paul's Cycle Supply LLC.
Paul was well known and respected in the industry for his knowledge, his skills & his support of racers. I've had several people tell me he helped them get started with racing. I know a lot of people would call him for technical advise a well.
The past year + since Paul had passed away has been a very hard time for me.
It has been a daily struggle of whether to stay and run it or sell it. Member's of my family have encouraged me to sell or rent the building since right after Paul passed away.
I felt that Paul wanted me to stay and keep it going. However, I feel that if Paul's Cycle Supply is going to keep operating it needs someone in here that has more money than me and someone that doesn't become consumed with sorrow and stress every time they walk through the door.
Paul's Cycle needs someone more active in the community to bring the people back in. Because it is really hard to keep a business open that is not making enough to pay the bills and payroll.
I feel like the time is right and this was meant to be. It was meant to happen at this time with this new owner.
I feel like the new owner will breathe life into Paul's Cycle Supply again.
I will be around Tuesday and part of Wednesday and then I will leave this business (that meant so much to Paul) in Fuad's capable hands.
