Spent some time at the grand opening of the new Rebel Road Hot Rod Garage space today! The new shop is bigger and better, with room to take on everything from small repairs to full classic car restorations, including body and paint work. If you’re in Albuquerque and looking for skilled mechanics who truly know classic cars, this is the place to go!

A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our very own Jason Rockwell .rebel_road for getting Inducted into the Wyotech Hall of Fame!!!!

A quick story!!! 📖

Jason first saw a Wyotech commercial when he was a little boy (9yrs old,) watching Stacey David’s “Trucks” on horsepower tv; one Saturday morning.

Absolutely blew his mind that there was a college for Hotrods!!

He went to school and told his math teacher he didn’t need math or to be an engineer or architect because, he was going to be a “Professional Hotrodder!” She giggled and explained how important math would be in building hotrods. She then took it upon herself to customize all homework to involve cars just for Jason…

Jason attended Wyotech in 2008 and graduated in 2010! Jason got his degree and keys to his 1947 International pickup truck… yes the one starting it all and the one he still daily’s and the one that will be at Wyotech next month!

What a full circle moment this is for the Rockwells!!! A dream to sit as a hopeful college student to now being a Hall of Famer and the reason more young dreamers will look up to for “Professional Hotrodding!!”

Community… is an understatement for what we were blessed to witness yesterday.

A parking lot PACKED and a mile long line of scattered cars filled the shoulders of 4th St to pay tribute to friends, family, and fellow hobbyists.

People from all around came to celebrate a shared human experience of two phenomenal individuals. What an incredible display of love and light.

Thank you to everyone who came out whether you knew David and Yvonne or not.

What a sacred moment to allow a family to smile and laugh during their darkest moment.
