For those who have not met her (a true shane) this is Avril Annette Couris (née Johnson), my amazing mother, my friend, my confidant, my everything…Most importantly, she is hilarious, ridiculous and always fun to hang out with. There’s nothing conventional about her as she continues to work, go to the gym and run circles around everyone. She really is the BEST. I’m a lucky girl. So here’s to Ave!! As we celebrate nine years as Couris Group (and many more in the business), we can honestly say that one truth remains constant... People matter most and relationships trump everything.
Trends and tides change, but without our creative and joyful staff and the collaborative clients we’ve been lucky to work with, none of our work would resonate the way it does, or be as fun!

A lot was packed into 2022. Big projects and big changes. Lots of living and loving and sadly, deep loss. I cannot say that I am thankful for all of it, but I am fortunate to be surrounded in life and work by people who are all-in for the joy and the pain. And for that, I am truly thankful. On December 19, 2000, my mom sent my roommate Melissa a present in this box. Melissa then reused it to send a Christmas present to her childhood nanny. A few years later, her nanny sent Melissa a present in this exact same box with all the original labels intact. We could not believe it. Since then, my mom, Melissa and I have sent one another presents out of the blue in this same box. Today is my birthday and before I even unwrapped the brown paper, I knew what it was. Same label, same tissue paper. Thank you mom. ❤️ We intend to keep surprising one another and thinking of Mel 📪💌
