Jay’s Car Show is a virtual showroom I created for me & other car nuts to post about, well, cars. It is the evolution that stems from one of my car related hobbies, riding around LA taking pix of old cars or interesting ones. If you are a car person like me, here’s a place to post your pix. I recently got an email from the Peterson Automobile Museum store that said SALE. I knew that shouldn’t have opened it. I put about $650 worth of cars & stuff into a cart. Then I posted a pic of ‘67 brown Olds Cutlass custom & jokingly said if anyone wanted to buy it for me they could. My cousin messaged me that he would. He actually sent me enough money to buy 2 so I got the ‘71 Dodge Demon. I found the Olds in green & like that color better.

Folks when I say I stop anywhere, anytime to snap a shot of a car this is what I mean. Heading home after a shoot today, & ever the one to take a shortcut, this caught my eye. Parked in the gated Jim Henson Company parking lot sits this 50 something Chevy w/ power glide. I can’t guess the year really or model but maybe someone out there can. As I turned around to go back to my car I spotted this 60s Buick - Electra? La Sabre? It’s a bit on the sad looking side but apparently drivable. It’s on a public street with parking restrictions so someone is moving it about. I caught the some of the sunset too which is shrouded by smoke from the fires all around LA.

For my inaugural post to Jay's Car Show I'll start with my boy Rolf. He's a 2016 VW GTI SE. I've had him for a year and we have had many adventures together. He is my latest dream car after having had 4 prior ones which I will post about later. He had barely 13K miles on him and at 3 years old at the time that was amazing. He's fast too. I've owned two high end sports cars previously and he holds his own. We got into it with a BMW 4 series recently, until I cam to my sense. SMH.

This shot is from our adventure back in May to see the poppy fields up around Lancaster, CA. As you can see the poppies are non-existent so we did a photo sesh.
