One useful tip between appointments: keep your wheel-cleaning towels separate from the towels you use on paint. Wheels collect grit and brake dust that you don’t want to carry onto the bodywork.
After washing, dry carefully with a clean automotive drying towel. If a mark remains, avoid scrubbing harder before you know what it is—surface deposits and paint damage need different approaches.
