It is with the deepest regret that we share the passing of Joshua Nassaru Ward. Last night, Joshua, his fiancé, and two others were killed in an automobile crash by a speeding drunk driver. Joshua was the first drummer to take a chance on VOLTA, and quickly became a valued artist and friend to the team. His feedback about our pedals and driveshafts helped to define what VOLTA has become today. As many in the metal drumming community know, Joshua was a tremendous force in the industry and a brother to all who met him. His larger than life presence, power, and personality were mirrored by his dedication to lifting up those around him. He spent countless, selfless hours assisting those in need in his community following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, a task that is still ongoing in the region.

Joshua was a father, an artist, a visionary, and a friend. His loss leaves a huge hole in our hearts. He was truly one of a kind.
Joshua leaves behind a young son, Kai, who is now without his dad. If you can, please consider making a donation to assist in his funeral costs. All funds left over will go to support his son.
