For the first time in the history of the event, London Tourism & Parks’ free Town Center Summer Concert Series will feature two national acts on the same night.
Up-and-coming country singer Ashley Cooke will serve as the headliner at the upcoming installment of the Series on Friday, July 17. Cooke, best known for her songs “baby blues” and “your place,” will take the stage at 8:30 p.m., following country group Highway Home. The budding artist was chosen because of her rapidly growing online presence and increasing streaming numbers.
“In early 2025, I felt she was the type of up and coming artist who would be a great fit for the concert series and someone we could catch before her career really took off,” said Travis Farris, who largely contributes to organizing the event each year. “That decision was validated later in the year when I began working with booking agencies. When I reached out about her availability, it was clear her schedule was filling up quickly. We were able to make it work, but had to plan around her appearances at CMA Fest and her fall headlining tour, showing just how much momentum she had built in a short amount of time.”
Highway Home, the opening act, is a regional favorite, blending modern country and southern rock influences. The band will take the stage around 7 p.m. that Friday.
This show is sure to satiate the tastes of country and southern rock fans alike. It will serve as the second-to-last installment of this year’s Series, with Grand Funk Railroad and Pistol Whip closing things out on August 7.
“For anyone who hasn't seen these artists before, they're in for a great night of live music,” Farris said. “Highway Home delivers a high energy blend of modern country with strong harmonies and a sound that has quickly earned them a growing fan base. Ashley Cooke brings a mix of powerful vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and fan favorites that have become staples on country radio and streaming playlists. Together, they create a lineup that offers something for longtime country fans and first-time listeners alike, making for one of the strongest shows in the history of the series.”
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for an optimal view of the show, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and come hungry – food and beverage vendors will be on site.
