“Give Shukr” means “Give Thanks” in Arabic and I know that because of how blessed I am by my amazing clients and friends and clients who become friends-who so graciously let me into their homes, their special celebrations and milestones, into their safe spaces and into their worlds. We share so many laughs, sometimes deep conversations, meaningful exchanges, life’s triumphs and disappointments, what is happening in our families and our lives and also we share about our cultures-and I’ve learned so much. For that and so much more I am so blessed and grateful. As we close the book on another season of Thanksgiving and continue through this holiday season I just want to say to all of you THANK YOU! For trusting me, for letting me in, referring me to others and making my little business I built so much more than just work. I absolutely love the people side of my job and it is what keeps me going when my body is trying to tell me it’s time to hang it up.
