People in WNC and E. TN still need all the help they can get. I am going to clear out my race trailer tomorrow and start taking donations of items that are needed:
- Water
- Baby formula, diapers, wipes, clothes
- Kids' clothes/toys - the stuff your kids grew out of that you've been meaning to take to Good Will
- Adult clothes
- Non-perishable food
- Pet food
- Hygiene items
- gas/diesel cans
- fuel for generators and equipment
I have a 24' enclosed 12,000 lb trailer that I am not afraid to overload. If we get enough donations to fill it I also have a 34' open 21,000 lb trailer, pallets, shrink wrap, and another truck and driver to bring it. I'll be bringing my chainsaws and helping in any way that I can when I get there. I plan to put in calls tomorrow to many local businesses to try to gather donations, from grocery stores to the beverage distributors. If anyone is interested in donating, helping reach out to businesses for donations, loading the trailer(s), or coordinating logistics: please PM me and let's show up for our neighbors to the West.
