I wear a pouch on my belt for my cell phone. Sometimes I stick it in my pocket, and today it fell out my pocket. I picked it up and absent mindedly put it back. Again it fell out and I picked it up and put it in the phone pouch and it landed on the ground again. Turned out the bottom of the pouch was ripped and the phone went straight through and landed on its end. Now it doesn't work. I had just replaced the screen, battery, and back glass and it was just like new. So I tore it apart to see if there was anything obvious, but there wasn't. I do know the screen works still, because when I try charging it, it will show its charging. I give up. I dug my old one out and am using that now, but it is pretty old and slow. I gave up and ordered a new Samsung.

I bought Adobe Photoshop, Creative Cloud, Lightroom, Elements, Express, and Premier Rush early this year. I've been using Lightroom and I like the results. I used to use Photoshop a lot 10 plus years ago and did well with it. Tonight I started using it and it's so totally different that I became frustrated. It's like nothing is where it belongs, the commands seem different, etc. Technology is great if you can keep up with it, but if you can't, you can get totally discouraged and lost. Ask me how I know. LOL

Seem to be able to edit on the computer for now. Just a few bird photos and a photo of my sister's dog with his prized turkey feather. Warning, don't try to take it away from him.

I have a new computer I bought over the winter so I could do more photo and video editing. I put a bunch of RAM in it, several large hard drives, it has a decent graphics processor, but it has been nothing but trouble since I bought it and it's getting worse. It keeps freezing up for no apparent reason. Now it won't even load my editing software without the software freezing. It doesn't matter if it's older software that I've used for years, or brand new Adobe editing software I've purchased. I've finally come to the conclusion that the Lenovo Legion computer I purchased just plain sucks. I know that many photographers, etc. use Apples, but I am too old to learn a new system, plus it didn't make sense to invest $5,000 into a computer just to do some editing, since I don't do much anymore. I'm beginning to think it may have been.

Man, old age sucks for me. 4:30 PM and just waking up. I did some photography last night, a little drone footage and quite a bit of walking. I was trying to get something different than the typical race photos and I think I got some good stuff, not a lot, but some. I will go through and share some later today. The drone footage is probably not so great.

I'm super proud of this young man. Here are a few photos of Payton Talbot with the Belmont's Garage car and Andy Belmont in victory lane after winning the sportsman feature at the Fonda 200.

I hadn't really planned on shooting photos tonight and I left much of my equipment in the trailer, so when I decided to stick around and shoot some stuff, I didn't have everything I normally carry, such as extra batteries and a flash, but I made do.

I've got so I enjoy my early evenings hanging out on the porch with the camera, just waiting to see what peaks my interest. Tonight, again it was a chckmunk who has decided I'm not a danger and is getting quite close now. We also had some turkeys wander across the lawn, and a few deer, though it was pretty dark when the deer went across. The birds were coming and going, and I tried catching a cardinal tonight, but it's pretty shy.

Last night my sister Rhonda Wing and I were sitting on the porch just listening and watching the birds and it was getting dark. We were going inside and my sister set her glass of wine on the porch railing, next to a vine and some grapes I had placed there for a chickmunk. For the heck of it, I took a picture and I like the way it turned out.

I've been keeping a spreadsheet of Payton Talbot's racing results and was just updating it. So far this year, to the best of my knowledge, he has raced 38 times. He has 11 wins, 30 top 5s, and 32 top 10s. His averaging starting position is 9.083 and average finish is 4.694. He has raced at 12 different tracks and had top 5s at 8 of those, with another being rained out before the feature.

In his career, he has run 189 races in a sportsman car. He has 35 wins, 116 top 5s, and 150 top 10s. I have no idea how many tracks he's run at in his career, but I know of at least 2 more tracks he's won at, and probably more, including North Florida Speedway. Not bad for a 20-year-old who started racing during Covid when most tracks were shut down.

So far this year he has won the STSS Sunshine Swing championship, the Thunder on the Thruway Championship, and the Fonda Speedway championship. He has a 101 point lead at Utica Rome Speedway with just 2 point races remaining and a 53 point lead in the STSS North region points and I believe they have run all their races.

Now, with that resume, do any of my Florida peeps know of a late model he can hop in for a few races this winter or spring? 602, 604? Asphalt or dirt. Heck, maybe even a sprint car. Let me know and I'll set it up.
