🎤 I get asked pretty frequently for advice on public speaking. And while I could give you a hundred tips about preparation, delivery, and confidence, these are the ones I keep coming back to.

💡 I’ve learned that you don’t need to know everything to have something valuable to say. You don’t need to wait until you feel ready. And you definitely don’t need another PowerPoint with 47 bullet points. 🙄

🎯 What matters to me is that someone leaves the room with something they didn’t walk in with. One idea. One tool. One new perspective they can actually put to use.

đź‘— And yes, I believe the outfit matters.

🖥️ The slides matter, too.

✨ Every detail communicates something. Every detail is an opportunity to be memorable.
Swipe through for a few of my personal rules for public speaking. 👉

And tell me: What’s the best public speaking advice you’ve ever received? 🎙️

Bighorn Law turned 15 years old in September, and last week I celebrated 13 years with the firm. 🥰

It’s hard to believe that 13 years have passed since I first walked through the doors of the very “interesting” office that we had at the corner of Maryland and St. Luis. (If you know, you know...) At the time, we were a small firm of about 10 people, with big ambitions and a lot to prove. 💪

Today, we’ve grown to more than 90 people and transformed from a settlement-focused firm into a verdict-driven team of seasoned trial lawyers who aren’t afraid to go all in for our clients. 🫶 Along the way, we’ve secured countless jury verdicts, celebrated incredible victories, and built something far bigger than I ever could have imagined. 👊

But what makes me proudest isn’t just the growth or the results. It’s the people who have been part of this journey, the relationships we’ve built, and the opportunity to watch so many talented people grow alongside the firm. 🥰

To our clients who have trusted us with some of the most difficult moments of their lives, thank you. That trust is something we have never taken lightly, and it is the reason we do what we do. ❤️

13 years, countless memories, and so much gratitude for everyone who has been part of this journey. I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come, and I can’t wait to see where we go next! 🥂
