Novak Electronics started in 1978, in true American dream fashion, right in Bob's living room with is family. From those humble beginnings building servos for the pylon airplane racers at the National level, Novak moved into designing and manufacturing electronic speed controls for radio controlled cars. Novak speed controls dominated the National and World racing scene through the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. Sensor based brush-less motors and speed controls changed the face of racing once again, and Novak is proud have been on the front lines of the new tech.

Through the years, we have met countless wonderful RC enthusiasts, lovers of the hobby, passionate racers, and down right good people. Novak has been a mainstay brand of the RC community for decades, and we owe much of that to the hobbyists we have been fortunate enough to meet and work with.

It is with a very heavy heart that we make the following announcement. Today marks the final day of Novak R/C.

It has been a wonderful 38 years. We have made more friends and had more fun doing what we love then we ever thought possible. The decision to close our family business did not come easy. Novak was driven by a good hobby experience. Making products that made your RC life easier, in the United States of America. We manufactured our own product under our own roof for nearly 4 decades. We thank you all for being part of this awesome ride. We leave proud of our brand, we leave proud of our products, we leave proud of our staff, and we leave proud of all the friends and family we have in this wonderful hobby world.

Thanks everyone!

The Super Sport 5800 was the first brushless system for many power hungry RC enthusiasts. Radio Controlled Car Action recently posted a Game Changers write up, we love the RCCA text!

"Oh man, was there drama when Novak decided to go for it and offer the first truly car-specific brushless power system. Electric RC was built on brushed motors, and motor manufactures spent countless hours and dollars on steady refinements to brushed-motor tech with new can designs, winding patterns, and brush configurations. Racing mod meant rebuilding your motor and truing its commutator on a miniature late, and brushes and brush springs were fussed over endlessly. Eventually, the motor was used up and replaced. Enter Novak with the Super Sport combo; it's more efficient. It requires no maintenance. There's nothing to wear out. There's nothing to tune. It basically lasts forever. This was a huge shock to the brushed motor status quo, and one motor manufacture even placed a full page add in RC Car Action rallying against the new technology. It didn't make a difference, brushless power simply offered to much performance and to many benefits compared to brushed power. Brushed power is still common in econo RTRs, but when it comes to serious power and performance, brushless is the only way to fly, and you can thank Novak for that."

The Pit Wizard was perhaps a bit ahead of it's time, but was loved by everyone that had one! We're glad it's back as well!

Huge thanks to RC Car Action for the tip of the hat! Subscribe to their free newsletter for projects, reviews, and event coverage!

Not only does Mr. Alex Sturgeon run the race program, build the tracks, help new racers, be a super dad, race mountain bikes, and be an all around super nice guy, he's even manages to win a race now and again!

Congratulations SIR!

The 2016 Novak Offroad Race has come to close, and finished off a great weekend of racing with a packed day of great racing! The day kicked off with lower mains which made for some tight racing, as this weekend’s format included 2 bump-ups out of each lower main and double 8-minute A-M

More words from the fast guys (Kids?)!

The 2016 Novak Offroad Race saw a VERY close battle in qualifying between the Horne brothers, both fighting for that top spot in Mod 4wd Buggy. In the end, it was Aydin Horne who would take the TQ spot from his brother Austin, and we sit down with the rising star as he prepares to once again

Talk to the fastest!

The 2016 Novak Offroad Race has seen a dominating performance by Team Associated/JConcepts driver Alex Vanderbeek. Vanderbeek set the ONLY 15 lap run in 2wd buggy, and would take TQ in both Mod 2wd Buggy and Mod Stadium Truck. We sit down with the double TQ as he prepares for the A-Mains to
