His peers have long admired Peyton Turner for being a determined problem-solver and for
his knowledge of transmission, clutch, PTO and electrical system repairs. Now he is recognized by the entire state of Indiana. The Indiana Motor Truck Association recently recognized Peyton, a tech at Stoops-Indianapolis, after his teammates collaborated to nominate him for the IMTA's "What is so Special About Your Diesel Tech?" essay contest. As the winner, Peyton earned $500 and received a copy of a proclamation signed by Gov. Eric Holcomb noting Oct. 2-8 as Indiana Diesel Technician Appreciation Week. Little ghosts and goblins, as well as some superheroes and even some visitors from Hogwarts, converged on Stoops' Anderson location for the dealership's second annual drive-through trick or treating. Local children were welcomed to the event, and the dealership passed out 100 bags of candy.
