Throw back to 2012 - My first bug. 1600dp with a header and phat boy. Empi discs up front and fake Fuchs. Got the tires in a junkyard. Stock everything and melted a few wires. Date had to sit in the back seat because it didn’t have a passenger seat for a while.. and the door flew open sometimes.. 😂 when I sold it I was happy to see it go but I can’t say I don’t miss it: what a fun season of life! A lot of great times in this ol’ thing. Sold it to a guy that was going to cut it up and make a truck… 😬

Pushed this car into the garage 5 years ago today.. went quick. Had no idea what the car would end up meaning to us.. it’s been out of commission since January but it will be back soon… grateful for all of it.

Been a long time since I’ve put an update on here! The intent for this page was to serve as a timeline but I’ve done a terrible job. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Motor is out! Needs more help than I can give it. Going to take advantage of it and tie up some long over due loose-ends. Summer is ambitious but I’m not putting a hard date on its return! Just want it to be right. Not a show car guy but I do like when things work the way they should.. and that usually looks the coolest to me!

Updated flier! After all, this whole effort is to raise awareness for our Hank’s condition of Methylmalonic Acidemia (MMA). We will have T shirts and stickers for sale and will be donating all proceeds! I may even raffle off a custom embroidered bomber too.. Our website will be live soon and I’ll announce that when the time comes. It will be a great time! Hope to see you there!

First time working on the car since November of last year. And good thing! The trans mount was trying to jump ship! Nut and bolted from the spring plates back, changed the plugs, oil change and did a general wipe down / freshen up everything under the car. Long story short, the motor needs to come out but we are going to wait as long as well can. 😂 going to be a good weekend to rack up a couple miles on the car. Parts are being delivered as I type this so that we can go farther than a few miles without inhaling engine case fumes. 😂 I’ll update as I go, I think the breather set up will end up pretty trick!
