VIDEO IN COMMENTS

This is what sets us apart from the rest, got a call for a truck down profusely leaking oil to the point it lost almost all of its oil, after filling the truck with oil ran it briefly to find the leak which was pretty easy to find. Quickly noticed oil pouring off of the injection pump. Topped the oil back off and drove up the interstate another 3 miles or so to a safer location to further address the situation. After we got to the next exit we pulled off the shoulder and removed the radiator support bracket. Ran the truck again to aid in finding the leak and found a plug had come out of the side of the injection pump. Circled in green is the plug that was still in the pump to the left of that you can see the hole where the plug evaporated from. Doing what we do best we seen a problem and needed a temporary solution to attempt to save an expensive tow bill. I scrummaged through my junk bolt drawer and found a bolt I had extracted at some point and decided for whatever reason I needed to keep. With some quick thinking I placed it in the hole with needle nose and used a pry bar to push it into the hole. Second picture you can see said bolt or what was left of bolt in the pump. Fired truck off and made sure it had quit leaking which it did. Topped the truck off with oil once again and buttoned it back up allowing this customer to go grab his trailer and equipment off a job site and if anything get the truck closer to home without needing towed.

This right here is a prime example of the quick thinking and mindset you have to carry when running a service truck. We sometimes have the parts on the truck we need and other times, like this time, you find a solution to get the truck home to make the needed repairs in a safer location.

For all your mechanic needs from tractors and equipment to semis if it’s diesel powered we are the guys for you.

Got called out on this one for no abs on the trailer. After some careful looking we found previously someone’s fix was just cutting the abs light out so it “couldn’t be a problem” unfortunately for them that may be a solution on older trucks but new trucks are smarter than that. After wiring in a new abs warning light on the trailer we were able to identify the actual problem which was actually a simple fix with a wheel speed sensor having a chafed wire. Be careful who you let “fix” your stuff. This may be acceptable to some but to us this is not.

Some of yall may remeber this project finally made some decent headway on it. Got the ole 8.3 Cummins mounted up with in house custom made motor mounts using a little CAD (cardboard aided design) transmission clutch and driveline installed. Still have a ton of things to get figured on it but seeing it all sitting in the frame rails under its own weight was really rewarding.

Nice little spa day for this crushing setup. We got everything caught up on services and found some of the equipment was 1000hours over due on servicing. Remember maintenance is the life of your equipment it also gives us a chance to find and catch small things that can quickly add up to catastrophic failure. Give us a shout from pm’s to inframes we will and can do it all

Mt120 shut down mid use had a code for shut off solenoid hold circuit. Done some digging and found fuel seeping out of the wiring going into the fuel solenoid. After verifying the circuit had not failed further up the line from the fuel intrusion we replaced the solenoid and had this machine running like a top again.
