Post 2 American Legion Riders

Post 2 American Legion Riders Post 2 ALR holds their monthly meeting at Knoxville Harley Davidson on Clinton Highway on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm.

The Post 2 American Legion Riders were presented with their charter in March 2010. The ALR program was created in 1993 when Post members wanted to create an environment where members could come together to share a common love for motorcycles and to ensure that chapters formed not as motorcycle clubs or gangs, but rather as Legionnaires and Auxiliary and SAL members joining to ride as Legion family

. Currently, 106,000 American Legion Riders meet in over a thousand chapters in every domestic department and in at least three foreign countries. Riders have escorted military units returning home from combat tours overseas, conducted massive cross-country fundraising events for wounded warriors from all services, and have work to raise money for local and national charities benefiting veterans and active duty service members. Locally, Post 2 Riders have raised money for the annual UT ROTC’s Mountain Man Memorial March and Honor Air and participate as a group in many other charity rides across East Tennesee.
