I nominate my husband, Derek! He deserves the WORLD right now. We gave birth to out 1 year old blessing in March 2020 when the pandemic hit, and Derek has been our rock and foundation to this family from the very beginning. He takes care of the baby, me, the house, his family, and everything in between. This Father’s Day is going to be so rough for him because we just lost his father roughly 5 weeks ago due to health complications. Due to Covid restrictions, many of us did not get a chance to say goodbye. If we had the chance to nominate Grampy Dickey we would - but for now, this one goes out to the next best papa in town! With the help of family and friends, I know Derek will make it through these hard times. He not only has a lot of home projects to take care of here, but it is also his pleasure to help his mother take care of her house as well. Derek deserves the garage of his dreams as he continues the role of being the best dad for this family!"

"My husband is the proud new father (celebrating his first Father’s Day!) to our son who after many years of infertility we were blessed with through an incredible adoption journey. He has taken on the night shift like a champ from week one, is patient, kind, selfless, and humble. He has been an amazing father while also working full time from home and running a non-profit garage (Stones Auto Service) that helps fix cars at cost of parts for single mothers, widows, and the elderly in our community. Since it’s start, they’ve repaired 1,500 cars! He would never ask for this, and if he knew about it would insist I nominate someone else, but his own garage has been put on the back burner for years, and know this would be an incredible opportunity to do something just for him."

"I have been married for 21 years and three houses worth. My husband has been very patient, while I am a contributing guilty party. All Don ever wanted was a garage with cabinets, a television, maybe a refrigerator and a place to park the car as it was originally intended. Our first house needed a lot of work, but it did not have a garage. Our second house had a garage, but it was filled with lots of collateral from us and our kids who had everything they ever wanted and more. We finally moved to a third house and hopefully our last.

It has a big garage, and it even has some storage cabinets, but 10 years of collections of everything has followed us. We tried selling things, even giving items away to charity, but the piles just seem to keep growing. I keep bringing samples of my work home to store, my daughter has stacked boxes around the garage until she moves out, and my son just keeps moving his cards and video games into a convenient location in case he ever needs them again. Holiday decorations and other useless household items we keep saving add to the collection.

No place for Don to park his car, no place to sit and have coffee in the morning or watch TV. There is just enough room to get in and out of the garage. Through it all Don just shrugs his shoulders and never gets angry, hoping one day to be able to have a home with a real garage and space to walk around. If he needs something he finds it in the house or borrows it from a neighbor.

So, I hope you see that this deserving man, a terrific Dad who participates in every facet of our daily lives truly needs a garage makeover. O’Reilly’s and Castrol please help me out before he one day calls 1-800 GOT JUNK and points and clicks his finger and everything disappears." #GarageLife, #OReillyPowered
