🏁 RACE DAY RECAP — WELL… THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY. 😂🏁

Some race nights you bring home trophies.
Some race nights you bring home stories.
Apparently we decided to bring home BOTH… plus an ambulance bill. 🤦‍♀️😂

🏎️ LEGACY — COLTON GILLINGER #19
Practice started with the #19 deciding it had some issues it wanted to discuss. Luckily, the crew figured them out quickly, got everything fixed, and had Colton ready for the main.

The car apparently wasn’t finished being dramatic.

Colton’s night ended in Turn 4 with a hard hit into the wall back first. With some lower-back pain, nobody was taking chances, so Colton earned a new racing achievement we weren’t exactly looking for:

🚑 FIRST-EVER AMBULANCE RIDE — UNLOCKED.

Off to the ER for precautionary checks. Walked away with a sprained back.

All jokes aside, a HUGE thank you to the track safety crew and staff. They were on it immediately and took great care of him. That’s something we’re incredibly thankful for. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on him. It is truly appreciated!

🏎️ ECO-STOCK — TROY COVIN #88
Troy had a hard-fought race all night and then came the final corner…

We’re still not entirely sure what happened. 😂

There were cars. There was racing. There was an “interesting sequence of events.” And when everything sorted itself out, TROY FINISHED 3RD! 🥉

Sometimes you don’t ask questions. You just take the podium. 😂

🏎️ CROWN VIC — JIM STOHR #77
Jim battled it out through an entire NO-CAUTION RACE and finished 3RD! 🥉

No yellows. No time to regroup. Just hold on and GO.

🏎️ GUEST DRIVER — KYLE KEY
Meanwhile, Kyle Key decided his first night behind the wheel of the NEW SIGMA Crown Vic would be a good time to show us he might actually know what he’s doing. 😂

FIRST RACE. FIRST FINISH. 4TH PLACE! 🏁

We may have created a monster.

So, to recap…

🥉 Troy — 3rd
🥉 Jim — 3rd
🏁 Kyle — 4th in his racing debut
🔧 Crew — fixed the #19 in time for the main
🚑 Colton — unlocked a new form of track transportation

Just another completely normal night with Shake N’ Bake. 😂

Cars can be fixed. Drivers are harder to replace. We’re thankful for our racing family, the track staff and safety crew, and everyone who checked on Colton.

We’ll regroup, wrench on some cars, and do what we always do…

🇺🇸 There’s something special about a night at the racetrack. 🏁

Before the engines roar and the green flag waves, there’s a moment when everything gets quiet.

We bow our heads in prayer. 🙏
We stand together for our National Anthem. 🇺🇸
We honor our veterans, first responders, and those who have served and sacrificed before us.

And this weekend, we take an extra moment to remember September 11, 2001 — the lives that were lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and the unity our country showed in the days that followed.

At the racetrack, patriotism isn’t about politics. It’s about gratitude, remembrance, community, and respect for the freedoms we share.

For a few minutes, competitors and fans stand together as Americans.

Then the engines fire. 🏁🇺🇸

We remember. We honor. We race.
