What a night of racing for the Shake N Bake Driving Team at Houston Motorsports Park!

🏎️ Crown Vic Division 🎉 Jim Stohr brought home the WIN! 🎉 After plenty of hard work, determination, and perseverance, Jim captured his FIRST CAREER FIRST-PLACE FINISH! We couldn't be more proud of him and the entire crew that helped make it happen, especially Shawn O'Neal

🏎️ Eco Stock Division- Troy Covin continued his strong season with a 3rd Place Finish, bringing home another podium for the team.

🏎️ Legacy Division- Colton Gillinger battled through a packed field and some mechanical issues to finish 6th Place. While the car wasn't 100%, Colton never gave up and kept digging all race long. We'll make the necessary repairs and come back stronger for the next event.

Race Weekend Recap * Long Post Alert

🏎️ Eco Stocks Class
Troy Covin started the first practice and quickly realized his car Fuel pump was going out. So between the 1st practice and the main we were able to drop the fuel pan, replace the fuel pump and get it back together just in time for the main race. Thankfully his car finally started acting right after the first caution and bam he was back to his old speedy self to bring home the 3rd Place Trophy!
Jim Stohr had some race traffic come down on his right side of the car and totally destroyed 2 of his Rims early in the race causing him to have to pull off the track. *See pics

🏎️ Crown Vic Class
Jim was able to fight to a 3rd place PHOTO FINISH that almost won him 2nd place! Great Track Awareness and fight to push that car at the last second.

🏎️ Legacy Class
Colton Gillinger continues to put in the work on and off the track. Changing the oil regularly, working on tire temps, and learning the mechanics behind what his car is telling him and it is showing on the track! His SIGMA Corporation Legacy Car brought home a 2nd place finish!

👥 Big Shout out to our Fans who show up! Some even have their Wedding Reception and come to the track for the after-party!! Brittany Elaine & Daniel, Byron Southwell & Jordan, Terry Covin & James G Covin, and Katy & Kara!

There’s a lot happening this Saturday at HMP The Oval Track, and with a packed night of racing ahead, we’re getting the action started even earlier!

🏁 NEW START TIME THIS SATURDAY: 6:30 PM

With Team PD Crown Vic Qualifying taking center stage and a full night of racing on deck, we’re bumping the green flag up to 6:30 PM to make sure fans get every lap of the action.

Come out and show your support for Team PD Qualifying Night as they battle for their shot at the Light Up the Night main event.
