Scored a deal this morning on a chassis with a cage for the gasser Coronet project. Definitely getting close to having all the parts I need to start mocking it up and making it a roller. Will definitely be a cool build and giving something left for dead a second chance.

A little over a week ago, the pivot shaft bushings in the lower control arms on the General finally went bad. Front end was binding while trying to back up. Thankfully I had a complete Front suspension from a 71 Plymouth Satellite laying around. So I pulled it apart and robbed the lower control arms from it and rebuilt them. Yesterday I pulled the front end apart on the General and got them replaced. Everything went pretty well and got it done. Still needs an alignment but rides way better. Happy that's done and thankful I have spare parts laying around to make things happen faster.

Last weekend I attended the Bama Bash at Rogie's Hazzard Hangout with our General Lee. I had a phenomenal time and got everything signed. Also was asked if Byron Cherry "Coy Duke" could use our General for rides. Wow! I was humbled, blessed and honored. When we bought our car I couldn't have dreamed that something like that would happen. Before I came home I stopped at Talladega Super Speedway and checked out the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. From there I went to Covington, GA to take pictures of some of the film sites from the first 5 episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard before heading home. It was a great 4 day trip and put on about 2100 miles. I want to thank Rogie and his staff for putting on this event and working so hard to make such a great event.

Between last Friday and today I got a bunch of the Camaro front subframe, and rear suspension parts painted chassis black. Just gotta paint the hardware and the subframe is ready to reassemble.

Had a productive weekend. I moved the rearend from under the leaf springs to on top, c channeled the frame and got the engine mounts and transmission crossmember made and bolted down. Now I'm at the point where I have to spend a little money to mock up the fuel system and rear shock mounts. Definitely sits better and is coming along tho.
