A front end walk around of one of the best build we saw at
Travis Gotwigg's 92' Honda Civic Si was truly an eye-catcher amongst the crowd of stunning builds, as it shows off it's labyrinth of upgrades and modifications.
Weighing in at Approx. 1900lbs, This Auto X machine puts out around 255Whp and 186Ft/Lb to the front wheels on premium pump gas. The car is built around it's center of gravity. With a gutted interior and upgraded seats, suspension, brakes, & carbon panels from the hood to the hatch. It's no mystery how this beast weighs in at less than a ton.
Travis accredited much of the machining for his build to his friend Richard Williams (Owner of TXR Manufacturing). The build started it's journey as a lightly modified used car when Travis purchased it in 2008. The Civic soon found itself with new seats, new shocks, and a new steering wheel. But, in the coming years it underwent many build phases of varying degrees. This time and dedication led to the wonderful work of engineering we saw at the show.
It's build like this that inspire us here MotorSports to keep going on our own projects. It takes pride and dedication over time to accomplish our goals, and this is a wonderful example of the fruit of such labors.
