SPEEDGATE SPEC Magazine VOL 1 - R34 ROW

The Skyline R34 chassis is highly regarded as one of the most infamous and sought after skyline chassis in the world. The Nissan R34 was the final stamp of Nissan heritage in the Skyline world before the skyline chassis was traded out for the more grand touring and daily chassis found as the US’s Infiniti G35 with the NA VQ V6 engine instead of the twin turbo charged RB26 inline 6 cylinder engine. The VQ promised better balance in the engine bay with similar power output to its turbo charged predecessor. The R34 tested the VQ in the early 2000s grand touring car racing before placing it into production vehicles. The R34 blends the perfect mix of sharp sporty edges with elegant and sophisticated rounded curves. Its iconic silhouette earned its spot in history as one of the most desirable Nissans ever made.

The Skyline Invitational starts with simple chassis awards for the R32 - R35 and eventually grew into the 30+ awards we offer today . R33 GTR was the car of choice for our judges when it came to the R33 chassis awards. Ben’s car was a pristine example of OEM+ at the time and he continues his build to this day. Catch Ben at local and regional events all over the south eastern USA.
