Latest V8 chopper Trike 13 pieces start it off with Createx metallic charcoal viola and three coats of clear, sanded that with 600 grit …then laid the FBS tape and the vinyl, then shaded that with illustration black and topped that with candy 2.0 blood red mixed with a dash of sunset magenta. After four days of air brushing and nine days of laying tape and vinyl stencils the graphics were back masked off and shot jet black on the edges of the parts.. Iwata spay equipment, Createx Colors paints FBS tape , fisheye filters …. Thanks for looking!

V8 choppers hot rod trike in final clear to be wet sanded and buffed next week… all Createx paint starting with rockstar red for the initial tape stripe layout. Then sparklescent mango pearl for the orange tape stripe, then opaque yellow with a few drops of gold for sparkle to make the yellow stripe … then spray charcoal grey viola the lighter middle grey. Then mask all the graphics again and I hit the outer edges of all the parts wicked pearlized black… simple and clean are the hardest for me to deliver , i often count on airbrush work to bail me out of any blemishes. Shot with Iwata spray equipment through fisheye filters.

Current V8 Chopper going thru the shop.. this one starts off with Createx autobourne silver sealer shot with Iwata spray guns then FBS 1/8” and 1/4” tapes laid out then shaded with transparent illustration black and back masked, then a mix of blood red candy and brandywine layered over the silver sealer … once dried I back mask the red (silver still masked) and shot the outer edges of all the parts Createx wicked pearl black ( great color!) removed all the tape in sequence shading as I went. Then 4 coats of high solids clear, sanded with 400/600 grits to eliminate tape edges and started the dragon to be followed by 3 more coats of clear … thanks for looking and your support!

Apologies ahead of time for the photo dump, but haven’t had time to post progress on the two Daytona trikes. Final clearcoated the last of the parts at 2 am this morning.. These will both be equipped with 427cubic inch V8 engines, the black cherry one equipped with a ProCharger. The white trike is autobourne white sealer topped with Createx Colors hot rod sparkle white, airbrushed with Createx illustration grisalle grays and Sepia for the brown detail over the FBS tape layout…. The Black Cherry trike is autobourne black sealer, topped with jet black, silver mini flake, and candy 2.0 blood red mixed with brandywine ( candies were mixed 4:1 4050 gloss clear to candy 2.0, 5%4011 reducer). The flames were done with Createx illustration colors topped with candy 2.0 blood red, grabber orange, tequila gold, and lemon yellow.. only Iwata spray guns and airbrushes fed with fisheye filtered air… thanks for looking!

Stacking them deep … two V8 choppers trikes , three sets of valve covers, a few random fenders, and a Grateful Dead engine cover for Jon Koucky ‘s sweet bus. The blue trike is Createx autobourne silver sealer for the FBS tape stripes, wicked colors charcoal viola is the gray insert, with Candy 2.0 blood red for the 1/16” FBS stripe and the outside blue is sparklescent nightmare blue 2 over autobourne black sealer…. The red trike was started by Wet W***y at V8 choppers and came in red with the darker red graphics, I added the silver and white and lots of clear..Jon’s engine cover is all Createx Colors illustration paints….all projects shot with Iwata spray equipment, cleaned with Crystal Clean shooting clean air from fisheye filters,thanks for looking!
