📣 SPORTSDROME SHOWDOWN: ANOTHER CHAPTER AWAITS 📣
After an unexpected week away from the track following a rainout at ShadyBowl Speedway, the Mini Outlaws are ready to get back to what they do best—putting on a show.
And this weekend, the stage is once again Sportsdrome Speedway.
Saturday will mark the second Mini Outlaw appearance at Sportsdrome in 2026 and the fourth overall, adding another chapter to what has quickly become one of the division’s most competitive stops on the calendar.
The last time the Mini Outlaws rolled into town in May, fans were treated to exactly what this class has become known for: a hard-fought, many-lap, three-way battle for the checkered flag.
Veteran Rodney Smith ultimately emerged victorious, but it was anything but easy. Smith, Steve Vickers, and Garrett Fox ripped through the field and battled nose-to-tail throughout the feature, producing the kind of race that left an impression long after the checkered flag fell.
And if the races since then are any indication, another thriller could be waiting.
The Mini Outlaws have continued to deliver the side-by-side racing, late-race battles and unpredictable finishes that have become the signature of this division. With Touring Series championship points, pride and another Sportsdrome trophy on the line, the question isn’t whether Saturday will be competitive.
It’s who will rise to the occasion?
Can Rodney Smith defend his Sportsdrome victory and return to Victory Lane?
Will Steve Vickers add a third Sportsdrome checkered flag to his résumé?
Could Garrett Fox, the reigning Speedrome Mini Outlaw champion, continue what has already been a special 2026 season with another big win?
Or will Jaxson Navarro or Johney Greer break away from the pack and claim a series-leading third figure 8 victory of 2026?
Then there’s Mike Coop, who has quietly remained a consistent force in the Touring Series championship hunt. Can the steady veteran keep pace as the points battle continues to tighten?
And don’t count out the rest of the field: The Mini Outlaws have proven time and time again that a victory can come from anywhere, and there are plenty of stout challengers such as Quentin White, Tanner Mullis, Andy Sherley, Alex Phillips, and Ryan Krugler, who are all looking to make their mark.
With all of that awaiting us, one thing is certain: Nick’s Grand Finale Weekend at Sportsdrome is going to be one heck of a show.
In just 48 hours, we’ll have the answers.
Who will survive the battle?
Who will take home the trophy?
And who will add their name to the growing list of Sportsdrome Mini Outlaw winners?
The wait is almost over.
This Saturday, the Mini Outlaws are back—and it’s going to be a SHOW!
