🔥 Is Your RV Furnace Ready for Winter? 🔥
Most RVers hope their furnace will fire up when that first cold front rolls in… but hope isn’t a maintenance plan.
Sue Rasmussen, our furnace and water heater instructor here at the National RV Training Academy, breaks down a simple acronym — H.E.A.T. — to help you make sure your furnace is ready before the temperatures drop.
H – Hoses & Vents: Clear out bugs, nests, dust, and debris
E – Electrical: Inspect wiring, connections, and key components
A – Airflow: Clean around the return air area & blower wheel
T – Test: Run your furnace through a full cycle before you need it
A little prevention now can save you a cold night later — and avoid that last-minute scramble to find a technician.
