Holy Cow!!! The Modified Affordable Division is joining the ranks of the Old Dominion Speedway in Manasass Virginia. The track welcomed the Mad Mod's with open arms. The Class is growing in numbers and gaining the attention of media and racers. The schedule is:

As posted on the South Boston Speedway website the MAD Modifieds will be running on the following dates April 7, May 5, May 26, June 9 and July 21.
More dates will be added as soon as they are finalized. Carl's is thrilled to be apart of the most forward thinking and affordable modified series in the U.S. being run at "Americas Home Town Track"! Let's get going and refresh those race cars and get ready for the 2012 season. Remember, there is no such thing as a part that "isn't important" to the performance of your race car. If it's on your car and it fails, no matter how small, it's the most important part you "didn't" check. To finish first, first, you must finish. Don't set yourself up to fail........

Are you going to be using tires from 2011 to start your testing for 2012? Used or new, tires change over time. Treat your test tires with Hot Lap/Hot Lap II tire treatment. As the season winds down and the holidays get all of the attention. Take a few minutes and thank all of the people that made your race season all that it could be. Your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend, your crew, the kids that put up with you being gone or gave up somethings to let you chase that checkered flag. The owners of the businesses that offered support to you through out the year and to anyone that made your racing possible. You don't need to brake the bank with your gesture, the fact that you let someone know how much what they did meant to you is enough. (That is true across the board. Now, the wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/kids group may need a little material smoothing over knowing how these things can be!!!) Just make sure you team can grow and get stronger by not leaving someone out.

For reasons, that have not been made clear, Ace Speedway pulled the plug on the Late Model race this past weekend. We were very disapointed at the tracks choices and the timing of those choices. I do hope the Kiker Tree Service/Carl's Racing Products/FDJ Motorsports Toyota can use the off weekend to prepair for the season ending show @ Myrtel Beach Speedway in, where else, Myrtel Beach South Carolina. Frank Deiny is a multi-time winner of this historical race, and a master at this type of track. Join us for a season ending "Blast by the beach!!" Novenber 16-22. ( More than likely it's cold where you are, come to where it's warm and cheer on the "The master of going faster" Frank Deiny)
