Still picking my jaw off the floor from the awesomeness that was last week at race at ran three miatas in A class. The drivers and crew were on point. Specs (645) scored first place on both Saturday and Sundays race!! This race was actually the first race for this car so what a start to its career. Frankenstein (646) got p3 on Saturday and P11 on Sunday after a splitter hit to the radiator and never got back out after the break. Kermit (644) finished P4 in both races!
This was the first team win and to get a win on both days, as well as all three cars placing in the top four on Saturday. Wow! They rocked it!

What a weekend!!! We arrived in the freezing pouring rain on Thursday, just 30 minutes after the gates open. We never saw tech that night because it was 20-30 minutes per car with no one passing. First tech of the season. That put us way behind and 5th in line for the next day. When we finally reached tech on Friday and it was a list of some pretty work intensive things that needed to be done to race. Our team killed it. We ended up getting the car past Tech an hour and a half before the race started. It was brutal and the race hadn't even started yet. Our renters were finally able to race! The first two guys had great stints and send the car felt great. We come in for the third driver change, everything seems normal and we send him out. He does two laps under caution and comes in. The car has smoke pouring out and the car will no longer start. The team pushed it back to the paddock which was a lot of work to get her over those hills. 😆 We brought a spare parts car with us on the journey, just in case. The team decided, f**k it, let's get do an engine swap and try to get in some night laps and take that checkered. We lost half the renters in the process but the two that stayed got run the last two hours of the race under the lights at Road Atlanta. It was quite the experience and something we will remember forever. We are so thankful for our team. They absolutely killed it doing the engine swap in 8ish hours. They never hesitated. It was all hands on deck and all with big ass smiles on their faces. Absolutely incredible what we did this week. After taking the checkered, Jeff said, "That was the best stint I have ever driven in my whole time of racing." That right there made it all worth it.
