🔧🚗 A Little Behind the Scenes at Steve’s Mobile Auto Repair!
Last week, we worked on a 2005 Honda CR-V rear brake replacement, and we wanted to walk our customers through what goes into doing a brake job the right way!
Replacing brakes isn’t just about throwing on a new set of pads and calling it good!
🛠️ Here’s a little look at our process:
✅ Removing the old brake pads and inspecting the braking components.
✅ Cleaning up the caliper brackets and removing rust, dirt, and buildup where the brake pads sit to ensure everything moves freely.
✅ Removing, inspecting, cleaning, and properly lubricating the caliper slide pins with brake-specific grease to prevent sticking and uneven brake wear.
✅ Making sure the brake hardware is clean, properly installed, and functioning as it should.
✅ Installing the new brake pads and making sure everything is properly reassembled, torqued, and checked before the vehicle goes back on the road.
Why do we take these extra steps? Because skipping the little things can lead to sticking brakes, uneven pad wear, squeaking, overheating, and premature brake failure.
At Steve’s Mobile Auto Repair, we believe in taking the time to do the job right, not just getting it done! We also believe our customers deserve to understand what they’re paying for and why each step matters.
🔧 It’s the little details that make a big difference in the quality of a repair!
