JohnBoy's car was in the winner's circle for the first time this season this past Saturday at O'brion Oval Speedway. The last regualrly scheduled race of the year is this Saturday. Gates open at 12:00 (noon) & racing is slated to start at 2:00. We're also having the mechanics & powder puff races that day as well. We want to see the hillide jam packed with racing fans. Grab your chairs & come out & support your local race track & cheer for your favorite driver. It's guaranteed to be an afternoon full of excitement & fun!!

Races tonite at O'Brion Oval Speedway - rain or shine. Counting tonite, there's only 2 races left. We would love to see the hillside full of our fans. Gates open at 4:00 - all the action starts at 6:00. Hope to see everyone there!!!

There are only 2 races left this season. This Saturday at O'Brion Oval Speedway is the last time we'll be racing under the lights. Gates open at 4:00 with racing due to start at 6:00. And next weekend, on October 1st is the last regularly scheduled race. It will be a daytime race though. The gates for that race will open at 12:00 (noon) with all the action due to start at 2:00. Come out and support the Thorne's Racing Team in the final races of the season. We wanna see the hillside covered in orange!! :)

We would like to thank everybody who attended the "Bud Thorne Race against Cancer" last weekend. We raised $900 for the American Cancer Society. We're hoping to make this an annual race. There's only 2 (possibly 3) races left this season. One of them being tomorrow. Gates open at 4:00 at O'brion Oval Speedway, with racing action starting at 6:00. Hope to see & hear all of you there cheering for the Thorne's Racing Crew.....

Cooter is racing at Elkins Speedway tonite. And so far he is doing great. He won 1st in the Heat Race and finished 5th in the first feature race. Keeping our fingers crossed for the 2nd feature race :)

Thorne's Racing will be back in action tomorrow nite at O'Brion Oval Speedway. Cooter and JohnBoy both will be racing. Gates open at 4:00 p.m and racing starts at 6:00 p.m. Come out and support our guys!!!! If anybody can make it up to Elkins tonite, Cooter will be racing there as well. It's gonna be a busy weekend for the Thorne's Racing Crew, but we love it that way!!

Race day tomorrow!!! The guys are currently getting their cars ready for the track. There's gonna be a candy race for the kids during tomorrow evening's race. Make sure the kiddos bring a bag with them as they race for the candy!!! :)

Racing at O'brion Oval this evening. Who's gonna come out and see if the bounty that been's set on Cooter, can be claimed?? There's supposed to be a lot of new cars there, so there's a slight possibility that it could be claimed tonite. JohnBoy's finally got his car fixed so he'll be trying to claim the bounty that's been set in his class. Hope to see all of you there. Gates open at 4:00, racing starts at 6:00.

At last night's race, Cooter won his 3rd straight race. He now has a $50.00 bounty placed on him for next week...lol. The owner of O'brion Speedway has decided to give any driver an extra $50 if they can beat Cooter. Who's gonna come to the race track to see if that happens? Unfortunately JohnBoy and Davey couldn't race last night, but they will be racing on Saturday, July 9. Come out and watch!

Race at O'brion Oval Speedway this evening. What better way to spend your 4th of July weekend, then at the race track cheering on the Thorne's Racing Crew!!! There will also be bicycle races for the kids to participate in, so pack up the bikes and your chairs and be sure to be at the race track this evening!!

The Thorne's racing crew did an awesome job tonite at the Obrion Oval Speedway!! Cooter finished first, JohnBoy finished 4th and Davey finished 3rd. Way to go guys!!! We're proud of you!!
