Well it's a slow process right now, but I should be taking the rotating assembly to the shop very soon.

01/29/2021

So it took some time but I just bought another set of Pistons to replace some of the stuff stolen from the machine shop by Richard DeFlon. Still working on locating the rest of the parts when I can afford them. But I still have to finish the tow rig upgrades before I can finish the ole Jeep.

Well due to unfortunate incidents, I was delayed in getting my new engine built. I have been trying to get it back for over a year. Hoping that the parts were still there. It took me a long time to get it paid for cause I wanted it done by the best guy around. I managed to get my block and the parts I supplied for the build.

The bad parts are the fact the rotating assembly was bought and balanced the head job was halfway done and the hardware for the second head is now missing.

I have sat by for too long. I am going to have to replace these parts and machine work again and it will probably be another two years before I will have that paid for. I will gladly accept rotating assembly pieces that are still usable.

Balanced rotating assembly - (4.165 bore 3.75 stroke mahle dome pistons, 6.000 rods, forged eagle crank)
Rings, bearings, pushrods, headbolts, mls gaskets, and the valvetrain for one head are all missing still. Plus the machine work on that head.

If you would like to help get me going again, please feel.free to message me. If you plan on giving me grief don't bother commenting or pm'ing.

Day 539: Finally landed a good deal on another 400 small block 509 casting nickel block. Came with some LT1 350 heads. Okay so it was a really good deal!!! Tore into it today and have it almost ready to put in storage for awhile. This is going to be a super light crank, long rod, 15:1 compression dome piston, head studded block, full roller, Aluminum head with big ass valves, high revving 377 from hell when it gets done.

Working on getting the driveshafts serviced and shields made. Probably keeping the old front shaft and rear for backups. Tim Woods Driveshafts gave me a really good price the other day.

On a crappy note the windshield frame is rotten on bottom. Found that out when I pulled the busted windshield out. Probably ordering a new frame and having Lexan cut for it.

It's still Progress!!!

Well after fighting with it for a few days and waiting on parts, I managed to Fab and weld in the new steering. She seems to work good and feels pretty comfortable when I'm sitting in the Jeep. About time to start on the wiring disaster for the new switches. Thinking about moving the guages and throwing out the dash to save a little weight and make.it easier to clean. We'll see what happens....

Managed to get a few more things done this weekend. Installed the new switches in their new home. Finished laying out the new steering. Going to try to weld the steering in place Monday evening. Then start on moving wiring around and sorting it out so I can have the switches done.

Then moving to the drivetrain and hub bearings....

03/15/2018

Been awhile since I've done an update. Lost count on the days but we're working on month 17...... Anyways ordered filters, oil, parts for the steering, and started changing hub bearings. Work space got cluttered from the winter months but it's starting to look like a shop again. Motor is in final stages of the build but due to unforeseen health problems I'll have to wait a little longer to have it finished.
Still need an electric water pump, a new steering wheel, finish stripping the old paint, wire the new switch box, buy new guages possibly, still need to have the rebuild kit done on the tr**ny, and finish u-joint shields. Will be racing soon enough. Just want it right the first time so I can go put a spankin' on them boys!

Day 309: I didn't get pictures because my battery was low. But the new switch panel is done made a new mounting location and built a box on the tower for my master power shutoff. Might even be mounted the extinguisher under all that on the tower. Personally I think I did a dam fine job.

Hey I even let Josh use his own welder for a change.

Still looking for sponsors for either direct parts purchases and donate or cash/check donations to buy parts and supplies to finish the ole Jeep and get back in the pit sooner. Lock in an advertising spot for the 2018(+) racing season(s) before they're gone. Possibly even some extra advertising in the 2017 season if I can get it finished soon.
Custom vinyl graphic and decals available through several people if you need a supplier. Don't miss out on a good opportunity for extra sales from increased exposure. Contact us today!!!

Day 297: Been a little slow in the shop lately. Now have real power and the welder seems to be very thankful. (Almost as much as my neighbors!) So with that out of the way I have managed to get the seat installed so I can work on steering and brakes. Noticed that the new seat is going to force me to relocate my fire extinguisher, switches, and master kill. Just add that to things to do. But progress is always a good thing because you're still marking things off a list even if it seems to be longer. Safety first! Back at it tomorrow.

On a side note if anybody is interested in financial sponsorship to get this thing ready faster donations are always accepted with advertising space in return.

Day 250: Finally got the floor welded in and cleaned up. Made some good headway on getting the rocker panel on. If it wasn't so late, I'd fire the generator back up. Hopefully this weekend we'll be digging the trench to run 220V to the garage. It's time to get it done. Should be done welding on the body tomorrow! Then it's time to build bracket mounts for my seat and get this bitch done!

Day 203: Well filled the welding gas up and put a new guage on the regulator so I actually know when it's close to being empty. Almost done fixing supports for the quarter panel and wheel well. Might have to move one of the seat belt mounts for the seat to clear nicely. Fixed the driver's step so no more sagging there.

05/06/2017

Day 196: Just realized the welder ran out of gas on me. Needs a new guage apparently. So no more welding til I can fill the bottle up again. Another 80 bucks. But on a good note I did get the floor welded in and getting the supports cut and clamped for the quarter panel.

Well Day 153: Had downtime being sick but got the Jeep cleaned up from grinding and welding on it. Waiting on the new seat should be here in a few days. Then I can mount the brake pedal and steering finally. Motor is on hold til Burlington feels better. Sheet metal is ordered for driver's side. It was too far gone to patch.
On today's fun things to do list, I started making a hole in the frame to clean the mud from the last 8 years out of it finally. Lol
